About me.

Hi there!

My name is Lisa. A few years ago I made the decision to quit my job and started downsizing my life by selling and rehoming all my belongings. Now I travel 24/7 with everything I own fitting comfortably into a bag or two.

In addition to being a minimalist traveller, I’m also vegan meaning I avoid eating and using any animal products. Veganism isn’t just a diet or some fad—it’s a part of who I am. I’ve been vegan since 2008, and though I initially went vegan for health reasons, the environmental and ethical reasons for veganism also provide compelling arguments for why we should stop using animals for food, clothing, and entertainment, to name a few areas of concern.

I owe the greatness of my life to these two major changes. My only regret is that I didn’t make them sooner. Now my life is simple and fulfilling, and I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been.

If I never went vegan, I never would have gotten involved in social media and I doubt I’d have this blog or any of the dozens of friends I’ve made since. Learning about all things vegan enriched my life and gave me a sense of purpose. It eventually motivated me to quit my job so I could work on one of my passions, namely sharing my positive vegan vibes with the rest of the world.

In order to do this, I had to jump head first into a minimalist lifestyle. I had to sell everything I owned and commit to living out of a bag for who knows how long.

What I’ve learned is that no matter how intimidating something seems, or how impossible your dream might sound, none of it will happen if you don’t take those first steps. If you never start, you’ll never know what you might achieve!

If I didn’t believe in myself and take the risks necessary to start my minimalist journey, I wouldn’t be travelling around the world as I do now and I never would have met my husband Kuba. He also happens to be a minimalist vegan traveller, just like me!

Thanks to Kuba for this photo from our hike down Mount Calamorro in Spain.

I hope I can inspire you to simplify your life so you live with intention. And if I can encourage you to eat more fruits and vegetables, that’s even better. 🙂

Thanks so much for reading! I wish you the best! ❤️

  1. Before you quit your job had you already made the decision to start saving for your travels? Also, what money management tips do you have?

    1. I saved some beforehand but never planned on living off of it. I have a ‘money matters’ category on this blog. If you view the blog on a desktop, the categories and listed on the right hand side, below the top articles. I’ve written about several topics related to saving money and budgeting. I hope you find them useful!
