Zagreb was our home for three months from September until the end of November. I fell in love with Zagreb (and Croatia, in general) when I travelled through Croatia last year. Even though the coastal cities are more popular for tourists, I prefer Croatia’s capital for a long-term stay. Zagreb is one of my favourite cities because it boasts 20+ fresh produce markets, the public transportation is cheap and reliable, and everyone here is friendly, upbeat, and willing to help. The city is clean with several green spaces right in the city centre, streets are lined with wide pedestrian and cycle paths, and main squares and parks are equipped with public wi-fi. Best of all, the air is fresh and unpolluted. We could definitely settle down here someday!
